Youthfull Ageing

Research and skin

It was only at the end of 2009 that a research group from the University of Toronto identified the dermal stem cells. This finding now opens the door to the next generation of stem cell cosmetics. Specifically the protection and vitalization of human dermal stem cells for a deep-seated rejuvenation of the skin, which in turn will result in the restoration of the skin’s firmness, as well as wrinkle reduction.

What are stem cells:

Stem cells are unprogrammed cells that can differentiate into cells with specific functions.

The main principles that define stem cell populations include:

  • The capacity to replenish themselves through cell renewal.
  • The ability to generate differentiated cells.

Regeneration and stem cells:

Regeneration depends on adult stem cells to supply the new cells required for tissue repair.
Any decline in stem cell activity will accelerate the ageing process.
Vitality of the stem cells are very important. Clinical trials have proven the success of the plant stem cells to support and maintain skin stem cells.
